Rubber flooring installation is a specialist job and we always recommend hiring a professional floor fitter. Delivery
Polymax uses a trusted network of carriers that specialise in pallet deliveries across the UK. When organising delivery please consider the weight and size of the product. In order for our delivery drivers to unload your order safely, they will need to be able to unpack on level tarmac or concrete. Please ensure you can securely move the goods to your designated installation area.
Acclimatise
Rolls and mats must be removed from packaging (product may be stacked but must be laid flat) and allowed to acclimatise in the room where the installation is to take place. The room temperature should be kept between 18°C - 29°C (65°F - 85°F) with a relative humidity of 50%. If you are not happy with any aspect of the product prior to installation, please call our sales team on 01420 558123 as we cannot accept any liability for rolls, tiles or mats that have been cut or laid down with adhesive.
What is the Best Adhesive?
Using the correct adhesive is crucial to achieving the best quality finish for your rubber flooring installation. Please ensure you follow the manufacturer’s instructions exactly. For further recommendations read our Flooring Adhesive Blog.
The following surfaces will require:
- 1) Dry and flat surfaces | MAPEI VS90 Acrylic
- 2) Flat surfaces with contact to water or moisture | MAPEI G19/G20 Two Part PU
- 3) Flooring for vertical applications, walls & stairs | MAPEI VZ Contact Adhesive
